The Significance of Sponsoring a Senior at TXCR
Texas Chihuahua Rescue’s new Sponsor a Senior program allows donors to provide for a rescued senior dog in need. With these extra funds, we can afford to take in more seniors with their unique health problems. Vetting seniors is substantially more expensive than vetting adult and healthy puppies. They require special senior blood panels, dentals, ongoing medications, surgeries, and usually more involved spay/neuter procedures, which can run up to 6x the cost of a low-cost clinic spay/neuter procedure.
How It Works
You fill out this form providing your information and donation of $500 or more. You will then be contacted when we intake a new senior dog. You will get an intake update with photos, medical updates, information about how your sponsor senior is doing at the ranch or in foster care and adoption updates. Due to how quickly and how many seniors we intake, we assign a senior to you.
